Built around one quiet conviction

That growing older at home, with the right support nearby, is something every family deserves the option to choose.

How stillponenyn came to be

stillponenyn began in 2017 when two families in Taipei — navigating the complexity of supporting ageing parents while managing their own working lives — found that the options available didn't quite fit. Residential facilities felt premature. Informal arrangements felt uncertain. What they wanted was something in between: structured, reliable, and personal.

From that shared experience, a small team formed. The early focus was narrow: finding helpers who were not only skilled but genuinely attentive, and building a coordination process that kept families informed without creating more stress. Those first arrangements were carried out in Neihu and Zhongshan districts, with four clients and a team of six.

Since then, stillponenyn has grown steadily — but the approach has remained the same. Each arrangement begins with a conversation, not a form. We take time to understand the elder's personality, preferences, and daily rhythms before any helper is assigned. The goal isn't efficiency in the abstract. It's a household that feels calm, supported, and familiar.

Today we work with families across Taipei, providing daytime companionship, errand and outing support, and continuous home care. Our coordinators, helpers, and administrative team are held to the same standard: thoughtful, steady, and honest about what we can and cannot do.

To make care feel less like a burden and more like a choice

Families who reach out to us are often at a tipping point — not quite sure what their loved one needs, uncertain about how to get it, and carrying real worry alongside their everyday responsibilities. We aim to give that situation more footing.

That means honest conversations early on, careful matching between helpers and households, and a coordination layer that takes friction off the family's plate.

Honesty

We communicate clearly — including when something needs adjustment.

Gentleness

Every interaction with an elder is handled with patience and care.

Reliability

Families need to count on us. We take that responsibility seriously.

Attentiveness

We notice details — small shifts in mood, routine, or wellbeing.

Standards we hold ourselves to

Background Verification

All helpers undergo criminal record checks and identity verification before joining. References are contacted and documented.

Structured Onboarding

New helpers complete training covering communication with elderly adults, safe mobility support, emergency response, and personal boundaries.

Regular Quality Reviews

We conduct follow-up calls with families after the first two weeks and monthly thereafter. Feedback shapes how arrangements are adjusted.

Privacy & Discretion

Information shared by families and observations from home visits are held in strict confidence. We do not share details between unrelated client families.

Respectful Conduct Policy

Helpers follow a clear conduct framework: no unsolicited advice, no rushing elders, no use of personal devices during visits. Violations are addressed immediately.

Documented Care Notes

After each visit, the helper logs key observations. Families can request a summary at any time. These notes are stored securely and not shared externally.

In-home elderly support in Taipei's evolving landscape

Taiwan's population is ageing at a pace that has reshaped how families across Taipei think about care. Many households now span three or four generations under one roof, or navigate the question of support across separate addresses in the same city. The expectation that ageing family members will simply manage has shifted — replaced by a more honest acknowledgement that daily life often needs a supportive presence.

stillponenyn operates in that practical middle ground: not a medical service, not a residential facility, but a carefully managed in-home support arrangement. Our helpers are matched to households based on communication style, personal interests, and the specific rhythm of that family's home. We work in Neihu, Zhongshan, Xinyi, Daan, and surrounding districts across Taipei City.

Families who work with us often describe the value not in dramatic terms but in quiet ones: a parent who seems calmer, fewer worrying phone calls, a household that runs more smoothly. That kind of steady, unobtrusive support is exactly what we aim to provide.
